One person has been killed and two others were injured in an oxygen cylinder explosion in Sitakunda of Chattogram. The incident took place in front of a scrap metal shop in Kumira area around 2:30 pm on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Arman,25. The identities of the two injured are yet to be known. Sitakunda Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Alamgir said that an oxygen cylinder exploded at a shop selling old iron near Royal Gate in Kumira. Arman died on the spot. Local journalists said that abandoned and old iron was brought from different areas and sold there. Arman used to earn his living by this work.

চট্টগ্রামের সীতাকুণ্ডে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণে একজন নিহত ও দুজন আহত হয়েছেন। শনিবার দুপুর আড়াইটার দিকে কুমিরা এলাকার একটি ভাঙারি দোকানের সামনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত ব্যক্তির নাম আরমান (২৫)। আহত দুজনের পরিচয় এখনো জানা যায়নি। সীতাকুণ্ড থানার পরিদর্শক (তদন্ত) মোহাম্মদ আলমগীর জানান, কুমিরায় রয়েল গেটের কাছে পুরোনো লোহা বিক্রির দোকানে একটি অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরিত হয়। এতে আরমান ঘটনাস্থলেই মারা যান। স্থানীয় সাংবাদিকরা জানান, বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে পরিত্যক্ত ও পুরোনো লোহা এনে সেখানে বিক্রি করা হয়। আরমান এই কাজেই জীবিকা নির্বাহ করতেন।
