Coronavirus strikes again: 1 dead, 3 new cases detected in country

In the last 24 hours, one more person has died from COVID-19 in the country. During the same period, three new people tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Directorate General of Health Services shared this information on Thursday afternoon (June 5) in a press release.

According to the press release, three people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 2,051,739 people have been infected in the country. According to the same statement, three patients recovered during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,019,360.

A total of 21 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far, 15,726,224 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the country. One person died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 29,500.

The deceased was a male between 81 and 90 years old. He died in a private hospital in the Dhaka division.
