One more person has died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from measles and measles-like symptoms this year to 759, according to the health department. The latest death was reported in Sunamganj. The figures were released in a statement from the health department on Monday, July 13, with data updated until 8:00 am. Of the total deaths, 94 have been confirmed as measles cases, while 665 have died with measles-like symptoms. In the last 24 hours, 113 new measles cases have been confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 13,613. Another 896 people have shown measles symptoms, taking the number of suspected cases to 1,12,376.

দেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরও একজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। সুনামগঞ্জে মারা যাওয়া ওই ব্যক্তিকে নিয়ে চলতি বছরে হাম ও হামের উপসর্গে মৃতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ৭৫৯ জনে। সোমবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের প্রকাশিত এক বার্তায় এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। পরিসংখ্যানটি সোমবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, চলতি বছরে এখন পর্যন্ত নিশ্চিতভাবে হামে আক্রান্ত হয়ে ৯৪ জন এবং হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরও ৬৬৫ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নতুন করে ১১৩ জনের শরীরে হাম শনাক্ত হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে দেশে মোট শনাক্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ১৩ হাজার ৬১৩ জনে। একই সময়ে আরও ৮৯৬ জনের মধ্যে হামের উপসর্গ দেখা গেছে। ফলে সন্দেহভাজন রোগীর মোট সংখ্যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ১ লাখ ১২ হাজার ৩৭৬ জন।
