The National Consensus Commission has received responses from just seven out of 37 political parties regarding key reform recommendations, despite setting a deadline of March 13.

According to a press release, 16 political parties have requested additional time to submit their opinions. In response, the commission is reaching out again to the remaining parties, urging them to participate in the discussion.

The commission, led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, began its work on February 15. It has identified crucial recommendations from five major reform commissions, including constitutional amendments, public administration, electoral system, judiciary, and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

On March 6, the commission sent a structured spreadsheet to the 37 political parties, seeking their views on key reform proposals. While some parties have responded, a majority remain silent, prompting the commission to continue its efforts to gather broader political input.
