Ordinances issued during interim period to be placed in parliament as bills: Law Minister
All ordinances issued through constitutional process during the interim period will be placed in parliament as bills, Law Minister Asaduzzaman has said. He informed that all 133 ordinances issued during the interim government's tenure will be placed on the first day of the upcoming parliament's first session.
He made the remarks in response to a question from journalists at the Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner's office on Saturday morning, February 28.
The Law Minister said those who shelter anyone involved in the sensational Narsingdi rape case will be uprooted.
He stated that case backlog is a severe problem in the country. Measures will be taken to resolve this. "Whatever level of alertness I maintained while serving as Attorney General, you will see even more, by one degree, now," he said.
Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Al Masud, Superintendent of Police Mahfuz Afzal, district BNP President M A Majid, Rashed Khan and others were present at the time.
