A call record has been leaked regarding a plan to assassinate Imran Ahmed, convener of Rangpur district unit of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and member secretary Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Jamil.

The organisation's organising secretary Tanjim Alam Tasin has been expelled for his alleged involvement in the incident.

Rifat Hasan, chief organiser of Rangpur district unit of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, confirmed the matter to the media through a text message on Friday (February 22) midnight.

The expulsion notice has also been posted on the Facebook page of Rangpur unit of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

It has been announced that the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will have no relationship with Tanjim Alam Tasin after the expulsion.

However, it is not known what else was said in the call record regarding the assassination attempt plan, or whether there were any other issues.

In this regard, convener Imran Ahmed said, "An outspoken enemy is better than a silent ally. There is nothing else to say at this moment."
