Orientation held at Bir Sreshtho Munshi Abdur Rouf College

A festive atmosphere prevailed at Bir Sreshtho Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College on Saturday, October 25, as the institution held a freshers’ reception for the HSC batch of 2027. The event, organised to formally welcome the new students, was attended by the Principal, Vice-Principal, teachers, guardians’ representatives, senior students, and parents of the freshers.

In the morning, the college premises were adorned with colourful balloons, banners, and festoons. The programme began with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome song.

In his address, the Principal congratulated the new students, saying, “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life. This college is not only a beacon of knowledge but also a school of humanity. Along with good academic results, honesty, compassion, and patriotism are equally essential.”

The Principal and teachers welcomed the newcomers with flowers. The Vice-Principal, in his speech, said, “Every student possesses immense potential. To turn that potential into reality, perseverance, discipline, and a sense of responsibility are crucial.”

The cultural segment followed, featuring captivating performances of songs, dances, recitations, and short plays by the students. A special attraction of the programme was a group performance by the teachers, which added extra joy to the celebration. The participation of the freshers filled the stage with enthusiasm and youthful spirit.

The guests remarked that the present generation represents the future of the nation. They emphasised that students must practise moral values, social responsibility, and ethics alongside their academic studies to build an enlightened Bangladesh.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the convener of the organising committee. Throughout the day, the campus remained vibrant and festive, making the freshers’ reception a joyful and memorable occasion.
