Out 217 polling stations under RMP, 14 marked as general
Out of 217 polling centres under 12 police stations of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), only 14 have been identified as general.
Out of the 217 polling centres, RMP has classified 87 as highly important and 116 important.
RMP Deputy Commissioner of Police, CTTC (current duty) and ADC (Crime and Ops and Media) Md Gaziur Rahman confirmed this to View Bangladesh on Sunday.
The overall scenario of all polling stations under the RMP is as below:
Out of 43 polling centres, 24 are classified as highly important ones under Boalia police station while rest 19 are important.
Out of 31 polling centres, 10 are classified as highly important ones under Rajpara police station while 18 are important. Only three centres have been marked as general.
Out of 16 polling centres, five are classified as highly important ones under Chandrima police station while 11 are important.
Motihar police station has no general polling centres. Out of 17, 14 centres have been identified as highly important.
Katakhali police station has 11 highly important and seven important polling centres out of 18.
Out of 14 voting centres, seven have been marked as highly important and four important under Belpukur police station. Only one centre has been identified as general here.
Out of 12, four voting stations are classified as very important under Shahmakhdum police station. Six polling centres were marked as important and two general.
Paba police station has three general polling stations while three are very important. Rest 19 polling stations are marked as important.
Airport police station does not have any highly important centres. There are three impirtant and four general ones.
Out of 14 polling centres under Kashidanga police station, two are very important, 11 are important and one general.
Karnahar police station has four highly important centers while eight important ones out of 12.
Damkura police station has three highly important centers while seven important ones. There are 10 centers in this police station.
Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Afia Akhtar told View Bangladesh: "The matter has not been informed to me by the RMP yet. But we will do everything according to the law, inshallah."
Afia Akhtar said that all arrangements will be made so that the voters can exercise their rights to vote.
