Over 40 people have sustained injuries as Dhaka University students locked horn with demonstrating Ansar members in front of the secretariat building. The injured were rescued and brought to the emergency unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). DMCH police outpost official Bachchu Mia said anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah is among the injured.&nbsp; Earlier, the clash ensued around 9:30pm on Sunday after Anti-discrimination Student Movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah sent out a message that he and some others were being held in front of the Secretariat. After getting the text, students started gathering around the Secretariat area. Later, Army members rushed in and brought the situation under control. They also nabbed some Ansar members from the spot while other fled the scene immediately.

রাজধানীর সচিবালয় এলাকায় আনসার সদস্যদের সঙ্গে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের ধাওয়া-পাল্টা ধাওয়া ও সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় ৪০ জন আহত হয়েছেন। আহতদের উদ্ধার করে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের (ঢামেক) জরুরি বিভাগে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে। রোববার (২৫ আগস্ট) রাতে হতাহতের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন ঢামেক হাসপাতালের পুলিশ ক্যাম্পের ইনচার্জ পরিদর্শক বাচ্চু মিয়া। তিনি জানান, সচিবালয়ের সামনে শিক্ষার্থী ও আনসারদের সংঘর্ষে বৈষম্য বিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সমন্বয়ক হাসনাত আবদুল্লাহসহ অন্তত ৪০ জন আহত হয়ে ঢাকা মেডিকেলে চিকিৎসা নিতে এসেছেন। এর আগে রাত ৯টা ২০ মিনিটের দিকে সচিবালয়ের সামনে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটে। সেখানে দেখা যায়, বৈষম্য বিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের দুই সমন্বয়ক হাসনাত আবদুল্লাহ ও সারজিস আলমকে আটক রাখার খবরে সচিবালয়ের উদ্দেশে রওনা হন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা। এ সময় আনসার সদস্যরা শিক্ষার্থীদের ধাওয়া করে। কয়েকজনকে লাঠিপেটা করে আনসার সদস্যরা। পরে শিক্ষার্থীরা ইটপাটকেল নিক্ষেপ করলে আনসার সদস্যরাও পিছু হটতে থাকে।
