During the celebration of the BPL championship victory in Barishal, there was an incident of chair throwing, vandalism, and chaos, causing the event to be disrupted. At least 50 people, including journalists, were injured during the incident.

The incident occurred on Sunday (February 9) at Bells Park Field in the city. The celebration was organized to mark Fortune Barishal's second consecutive championship win.

Reports suggest that the poor management by the organizers and insufficient security led to the incident. After the trophy display and greetings exchanged between players, a concert was planned. However, the security measures were inadequate to handle the crowd of thousands. As a result, the event was disrupted with angry attendees throwing shoes and chairs, which led to the cancellation of the program.

Fortune Barishal won the BPL championship on Friday night after defeating Chattogram. The championship trophy arrived at the airport by air along with the team members on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, preparations for the celebration were ongoing at Bells Park. Thousands of people had gathered, eagerly awaiting to see the trophy and players. Around 3:45 pm, the team and their owner, Mizanur Rahman, arrived with the trophy at the stage. As the weak security cordon was breached, thousands of people rushed to the stage. Fearing for their safety, the players and officials quickly left the stage with the trophy.
