Over hundred activists of banned Chhatra League hold rally in Chattogram

Leaders and activists of the banned student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League held a flash rally in the GEC intersection area of Chattogram city on Monday morning, June 1. Multiple videos of the rally have circulated on social media.

The rally was organised by the Omargani MES College unit of Chhatra League. Around a hundred leaders and activists participated in the rally, which started from opposite Nasirabad Government High School and proceeded towards GEC intersection. The participants chanted slogans including 'Joy Bangla' and 'Sheikh Hasina will return'.

Police said they found no one at the scene when they arrived, but are reviewing the videos to identify and arrest those involved.

Another flash rally was also reported in the Chatri Chowmuhana area on PAB Road in Anwara upazila, Chattogram, around 8 am.
