Pakistan deputy PM to meet Khaleda Zia on Sunday

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and also the Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who is currently visiting Bangladesh, is set to meet BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Sunday evening (24 August).

The meeting will take place at 7:30pm at Khaleda Zia's residence in Gulshan, Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell, told the media.

He said that the visit is being seen as an important milestone in the diplomatic and political relations between the two countries as a Pakistani foreign minister is visiting Bangladesh after almost 13 years.

He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a special flight at 2:30 pm on Saturday. He was welcomed at the airport by Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam.

During the visit, the Pakistani minister will hold meetings with senior officials of the Bangladesh government, diplomatic representatives and leaders of various political parties.
