Pakistan keen to launch Dhaka-Lahore flight route
Pakistan has expressed interest in jointly working with Bangladesh in the aviation sector. Discussions have been held again regarding the launch of flights on the Dhaka-Lahore route, with emphasis also placed on increasing the number of flights in the future.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam (Rita) and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, March 24, where these matters were discussed.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Information and Public Relations Officer Tariqul Islam shared this information in a press release.
The discussions emphasised further strengthening, dynamising and expanding bilateral relations between the two countries in a multidimensional manner, with particular focus on increasing cooperation in the aviation and tourism sectors.
Additionally, interest was expressed in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of the tourism sector. The minister and state minister affirmed their commitment to working closely with Pakistan in the civil aviation and tourism sectors.
