Panchagarh records season’s lowest temperature at 11°C
Panchagarh has recorded the lowest temperature of this season at 11°C, with dense fog and chilly winds disrupting normal life across the district.
The Tetulia Weather Observatory recorded the season’s lowest temperature at 6:00am today, with wind humidity measured at 95 percent.
Residents reported severe discomfort due to the biting cold from early morning.
Earlier on Tuesday (December 2), the season’s lowest temperature was 11.7°C, while the following three days (Wednesday–Friday) saw minimum temperatures remain at 12°C.
On Friday, the temperature stood at 12°C at 9am with 92% humidity. Dense fog reduced visibility, forcing vehicles to move slowly with headlights on. The day’s highest temperature was recorded at 27°C.
Jitendranath Roy, acting officer at the Tetulia Weather Observatory, said the drop from 12°C to 11°C indicates an early sign of potential cold-wave conditions in the coming days.
