National Citizen Party Chief Organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam has commented that Panchagarh will have a Prime Minister in the next decade. He said this at the Iftar program of the Panchagarh District Samiti in Dhaka on Friday. Urging everyone to come forward to take Panchagarh forward, Sarjis said, "We will plan how to take Panchagarh forward and implement that plan together." He said, "If there is any complaint against any government official in Panchagarh for misbehavior, let him know. We will talk to the appropriate authorities and change them within a week." He said to the people of Panchagarh, "Let us work together. Even though our party and views are different, if we work together, it is possible to develop Panchagarh."

আগামী এক দশকের মধ্যে পঞ্চগড়ের একজন প্রধানমন্ত্রী হবেন বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির মুখ্য সংগঠক (উত্তরাঞ্চল) সারজিস আলম। শুক্রবার (১৪ মার্চ) ঢাকায় অনুষ্ঠিত পঞ্চগড় জেলা সমিতির ইফতার ও দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ কথা বলেন। সারজিস বলেন, ‘পঞ্চগড়কে এগিয়ে নেয়া যায় কীভাবে, সে বিষয়ে পরিকল্পনা করব এবং ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে সেই পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়ন করব। এ সময় তিনি পঞ্চগড়কে এগিয়ে নিতে সবাইকে এগিয়ে আসার আহ্বান জানান।’ তিনি বলেন, ‘পঞ্চগড়ে কোনো সরকারি কর্মকর্তার বিরুদ্ধে অসদুপায় অবলম্বনের অভিযোগ থাকলে জানাবেন, আমরা যথাযথ কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে কথা বলে এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে তাদের পরিবর্তন করব।’ সারজিস আলম আরও বলেন, ‘আসুন আমরা সবাই একসঙ্গে কাজ করি। আমাদের দল-মত আলাদা হলেও আমরা যদি একসঙ্গে কাজ করি তাহলে পঞ্চগড়ের উন্নয়ন করা সম্ভব হবে।’
