Parliament election to be held by February 15: Press Secretary

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Mohammad Shafiqul Alam has said that the parliamentary election will be held by February 15, and there is no force strong enough to delay it. He added that the Chief Adviser will make the final decision on the issue of a referendum, but regardless of that, the national election will take place on time.

Speaking as the chief guest at the ‘MindBridge and Knowledge Competition 2025’ organised by July Konna Foundation at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) on Friday, October 31, the press secretary made these remarks.

“Different political parties are expressing their opinions,” Shafiqul Alam said. “We do not see this as a threat. The Chief Adviser will do whatever is best.”

He also spoke about the case involving Sheikh Hasina, saying, “The court will announce the trial date of Sheikh Hasina on November 13.”
