Partial committee of Sylhet district, metropolitan Jubo Dal approved

Central Jubo Dal has approved new partial committees by announcing the names of five leaders each for Sylhet district and metropolitan Jubo Dal. The approval of these two committees was informed through separate notices signed by joint general secretary of central Jubo Dal Minhajul Islam Bhuiya on Sunday (September 20).

In the new committee of district Jubo Dal, Mohammad Maksud Ahmad has been made president and Abdus Salam Tipu general secretary. Besides, Kayes Ahmad has been given the post of senior vice-president, Mashrur Rasel the post of first joint general secretary and Habibul Bashar Habib the post of organisational secretary in the district committee.

Mirza Mohammad Samrat has been made president and Delwar Hossain Dinar general secretary in the metropolitan Jubo Dal committee. Emdadul Haque Swapan has been kept as senior vice-president, Tahsin Mehdi Prince as first joint general secretary and Hossain Ahmad as organizational secretary in the metropolitan Jubo Dal committee.

District Jubo Dal president Mohammad Maksud Ahmad and metropolitan Jubo Dal president Mirza Mohammad Samrat were respectively holding the post of general secretary in the immediate past committees. Besides, new general secretary of metropolitan Jubo Dal Delwar Hossain Dinar is holding the post of general secretary of metropolitan Chatra Dal.

Responsible persons of both committees approved under the signatures of central Jubo Dal president Abdul Monayem Munna and general secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan have been directed to form full committees of 101 members within 30 days.

Earlier, Mominul Islam was elected president and Mohammad Maksud Ahmad general secretary of district Jubo Dal through voting on September 10, 2022. Shahnewaz Bakht Chowdhury became president and Mirza Mohammad Samrat Hossain general secretary of metropolitan Jubo Dal.

Two years later, full committees of Sylhet district and metropolitan Jubo Dal were approved on September 19, 2024. The district Jubo Dal committee was formed with 291 members and the metropolitan Jubo Dal committee had 301 members.
