Parvez Babul receives award for research on environment and women's development
Journalist, columnist, researcher Parvez Babul received the South Asia Human Rights Foundation Award for research on environment and women's development.
On the occasion of International Human Rights Day 2025, Asia Human Rights Foundation organized an award distribution event with the participation of distinguished individuals at the biswa sahityo kendro, Dhaka, in recognition of special contributions in various fields including human rights.
Parvez Babul was awarded the International Human Rights Peace Prize along with other eminent personalities for his cutting-edge research on the environment and women's development.
It is worth noting that Parvez Babul has previously received awards from various organizations in the fields of environment, women's development, poetry, literature, and journalism.
Parvez Babul is an award-winning health, environment, climate change journalist, and columnist gained twenty years of professional working experience in large and respected English newspapers in Bangladesh and abroad. He is a public Radio storyteller on health, climate change, environment, women and gender issues too.
One of his articles/ chapters, titled: Women Climate Change and Food Security in Bangladesh has been incorporated in the text curriculum at the Connecticut University of USA.
Parvez Babul took part and covered COP 22, of UNFCCC, Marrakesh, Morocco, 2016. He has several published books on environment, women development, climate change, human rights, disabilities, health among others. He wrote and published more than three hundred articles in English at home and abroad on different contemporary pressing issues.
