A patient named Mizanur Rahman died after an oxygen cylinder fell on his head at Tangail Medical College Hospital. The accident occurred on the tenth floor of the hospital building on Thursday afternoon (April 30). The deceased Mizanur Rahman is the son of the deceased Mokshed Ali of Nandabala village in Sadar upazila. Tangail Medical College Hospital Assistant Registrar Dr. Bulbul Ahmed said that Mizanur Rahman was admitted to the medicine department last Wednesday with breathing problems and diabetes. He was given treatment in front of the elevator as there was no bed. Later, when his breathing problems worsened, he was given oxygen. At that time, the oxygen cylinder fell and hit his head and he died on the spot.

টাঙ্গাইল মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার মাথায় পড়ে মিজানুর রহমান নামের এক রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (৩০ এপ্রিল) বিকেলে হাসপাতাল ভবনের দশম তলায় মেডিসিন ওয়ার্ডে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত মিজানুর রহমান সদর উপজেলার নন্দবালা গ্রামের মৃত মোকছেদ আলীর ছেলে। টাঙ্গাইল মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের সহকারী রেজিস্ট্রার ডা. বুলবুল আহমেদ জানান, গত বুধবার মিজানুর রহমান শ্বাসকষ্ট ও ডায়াবেটিস নিয়ে মেডিসিন বিভাগে ভর্তি হন। বেড না থাকায় তাকে লিফটের সামনে চিকিৎসা দেওয়া হয়। পরে শ্বাসকষ্ট বাড়লে অক্সিজেন দেওয়া হয়। এ সময় অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডারটি পড়ে গিয়ে তার মাথায় আঘাত লাগে এবং ঘটনাস্থলেই তার মৃত্যু হয়।
