Paul Kapur meets PM's Foreign Affairs Adviser
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir held a meeting with US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs S. Paul Kapur.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon in the capital on Thursday (March 5).
During the meeting, the two sides held fruitful discussions on the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United States, regional cooperation, trade and investment, development partnership and various issues of mutual interest.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir expressed his hope to further strengthen and multi-dimensionally strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries. He particularly emphasized on increasing joint initiatives in the economic cooperation, trade expansion and development sectors.
Assistant Secretary S. Paul Kapur reiterated the United States' interest in further advancing Bangladesh-US relations and highlighted the potential for further expansion of mutual cooperation.
A high-level US delegation, including the US Ambassador to Bangladesh, was also present during the meeting.
