The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is moving towards forming the government by securing an absolute majority with the people's overwhelming votes in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. This victory is not merely the success of a political party; it is the deep trust, confidence and dream of a new tomorrow for millions of people. The people have placed their hopes and aspirations in BNP's hands with immense expectations.

Victory as a great responsibility
History teaches us that a single-party majority is not merely a symbol of power, but an extremely difficult test. May this vast public support not lead us down that old path of history where the arrogance of power closes the doors of dialogue. May the strength of numbers not overshadow the necessity of listening to opposition voices. We believe that learning from the past, a new political culture will emerge where accountability will be far more important than the confidence of power.

People's maturity: A new message for politics
The election result has confronted us with another special and important truth. The people of Bangladesh have once again proven that it is not possible to secure the responsibility of running a modern state merely by invoking religion or promising peace in the afterlife. The 'balloon of hope' created by religion-based politics has been deflated by the people's verdict in the ballot box. It is clear that the days of influencing people merely through religious emotion to become a partner in constitutional power are coming to an end.

The people have sent a clear message this time—to gain the responsibility of running the state, it is not enough to simply win some seats in the absence of a major power. Without unconditionally apologising for the negative role in 1971 and without bringing about radical change in their political character, finding a place in the hearts of the people of this country is a mirage. The people of Bangladesh are now far more conscious; they respect religious faith, certainly, but in the political arena, they judge based on efficiency, transparency and progress. This is a positive and encouraging direction for our future politics.

From promises to realisation
BNP has outlined the framework of a prosperous and modern Bangladesh in its manifesto. Corruption-free administration, rule of law, impartial institutions and unfettered voting rights for the people—these are no longer merely political slogans, but essential conditions for every citizen's existence. We are optimistic that the new government will deliver these promises from the pages of paper to the courtyards of ordinary people. The new construction journey of a democratic, 'post-July' Bangladesh will begin.

The true beauty of democracy
Democracy is not just about vote counts; democracy means tolerance, transparency and participation. Despite having a majority in parliament, our expectation is that every decision will be based on national consensus. May victory not become a tool of vengeance, but create a broad highway of reconciliation. May political rivalry not transform into state enmity; rather, let everyone together begin the struggle to make the state the property of the people.

The sunrise of good governance
We want 'zero tolerance' against corruption to become a visible action, not just a phrase. May professionalism and impartiality return to the administration, law enforcement agencies and the electoral system. Bidding farewell to the culture of fear and terror, let mutual trust become the foundation of the state. Dispelling the darkness of impunity, let the light of justice be established.

The citizen's role: Awake guardian
In an effective democracy, citizens also have great responsibility. May we not become mere blind supporters or baseless critics. Applauding good work and constructively correcting wrong decisions—this balance will be the strength of our new Bangladesh. Our vigilant eyes as citizens will help the government stay on the right path.

Let it be the victory of service, not power
This moment today is a golden opportunity for us to rebuild the country anew. May the single-party majority not remain confined to unilateral decisions, but transform into the strength of national unity. Bangladesh, having weathered many storms, now wishes to reach the port of stability.

Let us all take a pledge together—let service, not power, be the central theme of politics. Let implementation, not promises, be the best identity of the new government.
