Pick a side quickly to protect yourself: Mahfuj Alam

Former adviser to the previous interim government Mahfuj Alam has said that right-wing opponents will not find a place in the July organisations of the right-wing. He advised to quickly choose between right-wing or non-right-wing July to protect oneself, adding that without one's own mob, no one will be spared.

He made these remarks in a post on his Facebook ID on Sunday.

In the post, Mahfuj Alam wrote that July has been divided according to ideological lines. Right-wing opponents will not find a place in the organisations of right-wing July. Right-wingers will not find a place in the July organisations of non-right-wingers.

He further wrote that this is the July settlement. Those who wish to stay outside the right-left divide have a lesson in it. Quickly choose right-wing or non-right-wing July and protect yourself. Without one's own mob, no one will be spared.

Mahfuj Alam resigned from the post of adviser to the interim government on December 10, 2025. Earlier, he served as an adviser to the interim government as a representative of the students who led the July mass uprising. He was in charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
