Plane Crash in Uttara: President expresses deep condolences

A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BAI training aircraft crashed at the Milestone School and College campus in the Diabarri area of Uttara on Monday afternoon, causing multiple casualties.

President Md. Sahabuddin expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, offering prayers for the departed souls and extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished for the swift recovery of the injured.

The crash occurred around 1:18 PM, when the aircraft suddenly went down and caught fire upon impact. Rescue teams have so far confirmed 19 fatalities.

In addition, approximately 70 people were rescued and taken to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit for treatment. Hospital officials reported that the majority of those injured are students.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
