A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG-138) from Saudi Arabia's Medina got stuck on the runway at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram, causing disruption to other aircraft movements. The plane was carrying 387 passengers, including Hajj pilgrims and expatriates.

The incident occurred shortly after the flight landed at 9:30am on Saturday (July 5).

According to airport sources, all passengers were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. Later, the technical team resolved the issue and successfully moved the aircraft from the runway to the apron at 11:20am.

Engineer Ibrahim Khalil, Public Relations Officer of Shah Amanat International Airport, said, “The aircraft was stuck at one end of the runway due to a mechanical fault. After resolving the issue, it was safely moved. Although the runway was closed temporarily, all airport operations are now running normally.”
