PM chairs meeting on Dhaka traffic congestion
A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was held on Tuesday, March 24, at the Prime Minister's Office in the Cabinet Division to discuss alleviating traffic congestion and modernising traffic management in the capital Dhaka.
Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Roni confirmed the matter.
The meeting discussed various measures to improve traffic management in the capital, restore discipline on roads, and reduce congestion.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Asia and Pacific Department Director Krishna Srinivasan paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat.
Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Prime Minister's Economic Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, and Finance Secretary Md Khairuzzaman Majumdar were present at the time.
