PM congratulates Bangladesh team for historic series win

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has congratulated the Bangladesh cricket team for securing their first-ever ODI series victory against Australia.

Bangladesh won the second ODI against Australia by five wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday, June 11, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The Tigers had previously won the first match at the same venue by 86 runs under the DLS method.

The prime minister said that by maintaining team unity, discipline and confidence, the Bangladesh cricket team will achieve even greater success in world cricket. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the players, coaching staff, and all concerned for this achievement.

He also expressed hope that Bangladesh's success in international cricket will continue and will inspire the younger generation to become more interested in sports.
