PM drives himself to inspect cleanliness of North Dhaka

As part of the ongoing initiative to transform Dhaka into a clean city, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman took the wheel himself to inspect the cleanliness of the city's streets .

He left his residence in Gulshan around 4:05pm on Friday (July 31) to tour various areas under Dhaka North City Corporation .

Confirming the matter, the Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony said the Prime Minister drove himself around the northern part of the capital to see the state of cleanliness on various roads. The Prime Minister has repeatedly expressed his desire to see Dhaka as a clean city and is now inspecting it in person.

During the tour, he was accompanied by Local Government State Minister Shahe Alam, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Milton, BNP Special Secretary Belayet Hossain, Prime Minister's Private Secretary Mehedul Islam and Assistant Private Secretary Abdur Rahman Sani.

Rony also said the Prime Minister inspected the main roads in Shyamoli, Bijoy Sarani, Rokeya Sarani, Mirpur-10, Kachukhet and Sheorapara, observing the cleanliness arrangements firsthand.
