PM extends Eid greetings, prays for nation's happiness and prosperity
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the people of Bangladesh and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a special post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday night, May 26, the prime minister wished everyone Eid Mubarak.
"The holy Eid-ul-Azha arrives once again at the doorstep of the world's Muslims, reminding us of the essence of sacrifice, the glorious guidance of Taqwa, and the unique message of self-purification," he wrote.
He noted that Muslims in Bangladesh and around the world are fully prepared to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, inspired by the glory of sacrifice.
"This glorious festival of Islam is not merely a celebration of joy, but carries an eternal message of deep faith in the Creator, devotion and sacrifice," he said.
The prime minister recalled the steadfast faith, unconditional obedience and supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) for the pleasure of Allah, which has made this day glorious and deeply significant for the Muslim ummah.
Concluding his message, the prime minister prayed: "On this holy Eid-ul-Azha, I pray to Allah that He accepts our sacrifices, grants peace, security and stability to our motherland, the entire Muslim world and all humanity. I also pray to Allah for peace, harmony and security across the world. May Allah accept our sacrifices and worship. May our lives be filled with peace and prosperity through His infinite mercy and blessings."
