PM extends greetings to nation on holy Shab-e-Qadr

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the nation and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Qadr (Lailatul Qadr).

In a message issued on Sunday, March 15, he expressed the hope that the glory of Lailatul Qadr brings peace, harmony and welfare to our lives.

He said Lailatul Qadr is a glorious and blessed night, the night when the Holy Quran was revealed. Almighty Allah has declared this night better than a thousand months, and it brings messages of welfare, forgiveness and mercy for mankind.

The Prime Minister further said this night presents a unique opportunity to attain closeness to Almighty Allah through worship, repentance and prayer. Ramadan is the month of restraint, self-purification, tolerance and awakening of humane qualities. The teachings of Shab-e-Qadr inspire us to establish peace, justice and welfare in our personal, social and state lives.

He called upon everyone to understand the significance of this night, engage in more worship to attain the pleasure of Almighty Allah, and dedicate themselves to human welfare.

In his message, the Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His infinite mercy and blessings of the holy Shab-e-Qadr upon everyone and guide the country and nation on the path of progress, peace, harmony and welfare.
