PM launches nationwide measles-rubella vaccination campaign
Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has launched the nationwide measles-rubella vaccination campaign 2026. The programme was formally inaugurated at the Ziaur Rahman Gram Hospital in Bagbari, Gabtali upazila, Bogura, on Monday afternoon, April 20.
Earlier in the day, at 12:00 pm, the prime minister inaugurated the Bogura City Corporation and unveiled its plaque at the municipal building. At 11:00 am, he inaugurated the plaque of the new building of the District Lawyers' Association. Later, at 11:15 am, he launched the e-bail bond programme at the Judge's Court.
The prime minister arrived at Bogura Circuit House around 9:45 am, where he was welcomed with flowers by Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqur Rahman.
He left his Gulshan residence in Dhaka by road for Bogura at 6:10 am. He was accompanied by his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman. Additional Deputy Commissioner Salma Akhtar welcomed Dr Zubaida Rahman with flowers upon their arrival in Bogura.
The prime minister's schedule also includes the formal inauguration of the Family Card distribution programme at Shaheed Zia Degree College ground in Bagbari. He will also inaugurate canal excavation work in Nashipur, Gabtali.
After visiting his ancestral home at Zia Bari, he will head back to Bogura city. He will address a public rally organised by district BNP at Altafunnesa playground in Bogura city at 4:00 pm as chief guest.
After the rally, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Bogura Press Club building at around 5:45 pm. He will also inaugurate the reconstruction work of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.
The prime minister will leave for Dhaka by road at 6:00 pm. On his return journey, he is scheduled to make a brief stop at the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogura.
