PM lays foundation stone of Bogura District Lawyers’ Association new building
Prime Minister and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman laid the foundation stone of the new court building for the Bogura District Lawyers’ Association at around 11:00am on Monday (April 20).
The ceremony was held as part of his scheduled visit to Bogura, where he is undertaking a series of political and development-related programmes.
According to the itinerary, he is also expected to inaugurate an emergency measles-rubella vaccination campaign at Ziaur Rahman Rural Hospital in Gabtali’s Bagbari area, attend a family card distribution programme at Shahid Zia Degree College ground, and launch a canal excavation project in Noshipur area.
He is also scheduled to visit the ancestral home of late President Ziaur Rahman in Bagbari and participate in other local engagements.
Later in the afternoon, Tarique Rahman is expected to address a public rally organised by the district BNP at Altafunnesa Playground in Bogura town. He is also set to inaugurate the newly constructed Bogura Press Club building and the reconstruction work of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.
The visit marks one of his major public programmes in Bogura in recent times.
