PM meets Hefazat Amir Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has met with Hefazat-e-Islam Amir Allama Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari. The meeting took place at 4:12pm on Sunday at the Al-Jamiatul Islamia Azizul Ulum Babunagar Madrasa in Fatikchhari, Chattogram.
When the Prime Minister arrived at the madrasa premises, Hefazat-e-Islam Amir Allama Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari welcomed him. He was then escorted to the guest reception room where the meeting between the two took place. At the start of the meeting, the Prime Minister enquired about Allama Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari's health.
Special preparations were made at the madrasa for the Prime Minister's visit. A special pandal was set up on the madrasa premises. Additionally, as the Prime Minister arrived, students stood in rows on both sides of the road to greet him.
After stepping out of his car, the Prime Minister approached the students and exchanged greetings with the younger students. A festive atmosphere prevailed on the madrasa premises.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammad Helal, State Minister for Energy Anindya Islam Amit, and lawmakers Sarwar Alam and Gias Kader Chowdhury.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister joined a discussion session organised on the madrasa premises. The session was chaired by Hefazat-e-Islam Amir Allama Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari, during which an exchange of views took place between the Prime Minister and those associated with the madrasa.
Allama Shah Muhiubullah Babunagari is the principal of Al-Jamiatul Islamia Azizul Ulum Babunagar Madrasa and is known as one of the country's senior Islamic scholars.
