Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the release of general students who were arrested due to the quota reform movement. She gave this instruction in a meeting with the central leaders of the Peshajibi Samannay Parishad at the PM’s government residence Ganabhaban on Saturday (August 3). At this time, she assured the students that every murder will be prosecuted. Earlier on Friday, a Dhaka court granted bail to 42 HSC examinees who were arrested during the quota reform movement.

কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনকে কেন্দ্র করে আটক হওয়া সাধারণ ছাত্রদের মুক্ত করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। শনিবার (৩ আগস্ট) প্রধানমন্ত্রী সরকারি বাসভবন গণভবনে পেশাজীবী সমন্বয় পরিষদের কেন্দ্রীয় নেতৃবৃন্দের সঙ্গে বৈঠকে এ নির্দেশনা দেন তিনি। এ সময় শিক্ষার্থীদের আশ্বস্ত করে সরকারপ্রধান বলেন, প্রতিটি হত্যাকাণ্ডের বিচার করা হবে। এর আগে কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনের মধ্যে গ্রেপ্তারকৃত ৪২ এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থীকে শুক্রবার জামিন দিয়েছেন আদালত।
