Law Minister Anisul Huq said it will be appropriate to accept the decisions taken by the workers and the employers through dialogue, regarding the working environment of the factories.

The minister came up with this remarks following discussions with officials from the labor ministry at the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.

He said, "The Governing Body of the International Labor Organization (ILO) will meet next March. Today's (Wednesday) meeting was for a briefing on our progress and the work we are doing on labor laws. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has taken responsibility as the minister of this ministry because she is giving importance to the matter."

The minister said he will share the meeting minutes with the media after consultation with the prime minister.

When asked whether the amended labor law will be taken up in the next parliament session, Anisul Haque said, "It will definitely be taken up and passed." In response to a question, the minister said, "I think the attention given by this government to improving the working environment of workers after an accident in Bangladesh is like this." It is difficult to show examples in other countries. In the last 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country has undergone radical changes and developed. That's why those who are talking about this, especially foreigners, I think - the situation of the workers in 2003, 2004 and 2005, what has improved since 2012 to 2023 should be considered. Considering these things, they should speak.
