PM Tarique Rahman arrives in Kishoreganj
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in Kishoreganj on Sunday (August 16) on his first official visit to the district since taking office, reaching Pakundia at around 11:25am.
He arrived in the Mirzapur area of Pakundia to attend a programme to release fish fry into the Brahmaputra River.
The visit has prompted extensive preparations in Pakundia, with local authorities and party leaders making arrangements ahead of the prime minister’s arrival. Security has also been tightened across the area, with law enforcement personnel deployed at key points.
After completing his Pakundia engagements, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Katiadi and Kishoreganj district headquarters, where he will attend several programmes throughout the day.
His itinerary includes the release of fish fry, inauguration of National Fisheries Week, tree planting, distribution of Family Cards and handing out various grants.
The prime minister is scheduled to leave Kishoreganj for Dhaka in the evening after completing his day-long programme.
