PM Tarique Rahman meets Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday (June 26) began bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the President's Office in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The meeting commenced at 10:00am (local time), according to Prime Minister's Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.

Earlier in the day, at around 9:15am, the prime minister, accompanied by his delegation, paid tribute at the Monument to the People's Heroes in Tiananmen Square.

The day's schedule also includes a meeting with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and a visit to the National Museum of China.

Concluding his four-day official visit, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to depart Beijing for Dhaka at 5:00pm (local time). He and his delegation are expected to arrive in Dhaka at around 7:00pm (Bangladesh time).
