Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will participate in three programmes on Eid-ul-Azha day, his Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said on Wednesday evening, May 27. The prime minister will join the main Eid congregation at the National Eidgah at 7:30 am. From the National Eidgah, he will go to Sher-e-Bangla Nagar to visit the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia, recite Fateha, and then return to his Gulshan residence. Later in the afternoon, the prime minister will attend the traditional 'Barkhana' (reception) organised by the armed forces at Dhaka Cantonment.

ঈদুল আজহার দিন তিন কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নেবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমান। বুধবার (২৭ মে) প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অতিরিক্ত প্রেস সচিব আতিকুর রহমান রুমন একথা জানান। তিনি বলেন, ‘প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমান সকাল সাড়ে ৭টায় জাতীয় ঈদগাহে প্রধান জামাতে অংশ নেবেন।’ সেখান থেকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী যাবেন শেরে বাংলা নগরে, এখানে তিনি শহিদ রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমান ও সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী খালেদা জিয়ার কবর জিয়ারত এবং ফাতেহা পাঠ করবেন।’ অতিরিক্ত প্রেস সচিব জানান, শেরে বাংলা নগর থেকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী গুলশানের বাসায় যাবেন। দুপুরে ঢাকা সেনানিবাসে সশস্ত্র বাহিনী আয়োজিত ঐতিহ্যবাহী ‘বড়খানা’ (প্রীতিভোজ) অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দেবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
