PM visits Maulana Bhashani’s grave in Tangail
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has paid tribute to Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani by visiting his grave in Santosh of Tangail on Tuesday afternoon (April 14).
She offered Fateha and said prayers at around 5:00pm, according to the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
The Prime Minister also paid respect to Bhashani’s legacy and recalled his life and contributions. He later visited the room where Bhashani used to live and signed the visitors’ book.
Earlier in the day, she inaugurated a Bangla Naboborsho agricultural fair at the municipal grounds in Tangail town and visited several stalls.
She also attended Zuhr prayers and had lunch at the Circuit House after arriving in Tangail by road from Dhaka at around 11:20am.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated a pilot “Krisok Card” initiative at Shaheed Maruf Stadium as part of her official engagements in the district.
