PM watches play with family at Bailey Road
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman made an appearance in the capital's theatre scene, enjoying a children's play with his family. He watched the children's play 'Kobi Chitabagh' at a theatre on Bailey Road on Saturday evening, April 11.
According to sources, despite a busy schedule, the prime minister took some time out to watch the play with his wife Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman.
The play was staged at the Bangladesh Mahila Samiti auditorium, produced by Shikrit Children's Theatre.
Earlier, on April 3, Tarique Rahman had watched a film with his daughter Zaima Rahman at Star Cineplex in Dhanmondi's Shimanto Shambhar.
Cultural activists believe the prime minister's continued engagement with cultural activities is having a positive impact on the country's arts and culture scene.
They said the presence of the head of government at theatres and cinemas will encourage ordinary audiences towards healthy entertainment.
