The Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust has issued a warning after receiving complaints that a fraud ring is calling individuals, posing as scheme managers of the Integrated Scholarship Programme, and asking for OTPs and other sensitive information. The trust urged scholarship recipients and all concerned to remain cautious.

The trust issued a warning notification on July 15, stating that multiple complaints had been received regarding fraudsters contacting individuals and seeking OTPs and other confidential information.

The trust clarified that no official or employee ever contacts upazila or thana secondary education officers or heads of educational institutions seeking OTPs.

All concerned have been advised not to share any information if they receive such calls. Upazila or thana secondary education officers and heads of institutions have been specifically urged not to disclose any OTPs, passwords or information about scholarship recipients to anyone, and to take special precautionary measures.
