Poet Dipankar Dipak receives Bachsas honour
Journalist-litterateur Dipankar Dipak has received the honour of Bangladesh Film Journalists Association (Bachsas). He was given this honour at the Chitrashala auditorium of Shilpakala Academy in the capital last Friday evening. President of the organisation Kamrul Hasan Darpan, General Secretary Rahat Saiful and members of the committee handed over a crest and a special magazine to him as the honour souvenir.
Poet Shihab Sarkar, president of National Press Club and poet Hasan Hafiz, editor of daily Jugantor and poet Abdul Hai Shikdar, poet and journalist Dulal Khan, lyricist Shahabuddin Majumdar and 22 talented persons also received honour at the programme.
Dipankar Dipak has been associated with journalism since his student life. The number of his published books is 12, among which the notable ones are—‘Nishiddha Joubon’, ‘Ishwarer Sange Lorai’, ‘Buno Kanya’, ‘Prohelika’, ‘Kalchakra’, ‘Chhayamanab’, ‘He Bongo’, ‘Roktoful’, ‘Durbhikher Shohore’ etc. Love-nature, human life, discrimination, protest and contemporary reality have received importance in his writings.
At present he is working in the news department of daily Desh Rupantor. Earlier he has done journalism in daily Ittefaq, Ekushey Television, Kaler Kantho and Jaijaidin. Alongside he is also associated with reciting poems and writing songs.
As recognition of journalism and literary practice Dipankar Dipak has earlier achieved several awards including ‘Begum Rokeya Sahitya Sammanona’, ‘Bishwobhora Pran Sammanona’, ‘Kandi Jubasangha Sammanona’ and ‘DSESI Lekhak Sammanona’.
