Police, army deployed around Titumir College

A large number of law enforcement officers have taken position in front of Government Titumir College.

In addition to police, more than 100 army personnel have taken position on the road in front of the college.

Earlier, students of the college started boycotting academic activities from Tuesday (November 19) demanding to make Government Titumir College a university. They gathered on the campus waiting for the government's response on this matter.

According to media reports, army and police personnel took up positions at Mohakhali Railgate, Amtali and other places to prevent students' gathering.

Police officers on duty said students can hold any programme, but it has to be done inside the college. Blocking the road will cause people to suffer due to traffic jam. Additional police has been deployed in the college to avoid any untoward situation.
