Police have recovered a severed human leg wrapped in a bandage in Khulna city. The leg was found near a madrasa in the Madaninagar area under Labanchara police station on Wednesday, August 26, around 10:15am. It was later sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital.

Local residents said they saw the leg wrapped in discarded cloth lying beside the madrasa in the morning and informed police. Police arrived at the scene and recovered it.

Later, based on information provided by police, members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) also visited the spot. The identity of the leg could not be immediately determined.

Labanchara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Syed Mosharref Hossain said police went to the scene after receiving the information. The recovered leg has been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Preliminary investigation suggests that the leg may have been amputated from a patient undergoing treatment and discarded there.
