The policemen are returning to their working places from Thursday (August 8) responding to the call of the newly appointed Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam. People from all walks of life, including different political parties’ leaders and students are extending all-out necessary supports to the returnee police personnel so they can come to their work places safely, says a press release from police headquarters. বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের নবনিযুক্ত আইজিপির আহ্বানে সাড়া দিয়ে আজ বৃহস্পতিবার (৮ আগস্ট) থেকে কর্মস্থলে ফিরছেন পুলিশ সদস্যরা। পুলিশ সদর দপ্তরের এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দলের নেতাকর্মী এবং শিক্ষার্থীসহ সর্বস্তরের মানুষ ফিরে আসা পুলিশ সদস্যদের সর্বাত্মক প্রয়োজনীয় সহায়তা প্রদান করছেন, যাতে তারা তাদের কর্মস্থলে নিরাপদে আসতে পারে। এতে আরও বলা হয়, কর্মস্থলে ফেরার সময় পুলিশ সদস্যদের বাধা দেয়ার খবর অসত্য বলে মনে হচ্ছে। এজন্য কোনো গুজবে বিভ্রান্ত না হওয়ার জন্য সকলকে অনুরোধ জানিয়েছে পুলিশ সদর দপ্তর।
