Police stop bulldozers from entering Dhanmondi 32

Police stopped two bulldozers when attempts were made to enter Dhanmondi 32. Police said that under the country’s existing laws, there is no permission to enter with bulldozers in such a manner.

Earlier, when asked about the identity of those accompanying the group taking the bulldozers towards Dhanmondi, they said activists from various student organisations had joined.

Meanwhile, on Monday, ahead of the verdict against Sheikh Hasina and two others, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner ANM Nazrul Islam said there was no security threat in the capital.

The additional commissioner said that ahead of the verdict, 15,000 police personnel had been deployed in the capital. There was no security risk in the city. Citizens were moving normally across Dhaka.
