Pragatishil Democratic Forum forming alliance with Trinamool BNP

The ‘Pragatishil Democratic Forum’ is going to form an electoral alliance with the Trinamool BNP in the 12th parliamentary election. A meeting between Pragatishil Democratic Forum and Trinamool BNP was held at the central office of the Trinamool BNP on Topkhana Road in the capital on Monday.

Pragatishil Democratic Forum is not a political party registered with the Election Commission. As a result, they have to form an alliance with any other registered party to participate in the polls. That is why, the party tried to form an electoral alliance with Trinamool BNP.

Azim Uddin Ahmed, the general secretary of Pragatishil Democratic Forum, led the party in the meeting. Shamser Mobin Chowdhury, the party's chairperson, was present on behalf of Trinamool BNP.

The general secretary of the Pragatishil Democratic Forum said, "We have to take part in the elections in alliance with a registered party due to legal obligations. We have decided to participate in the polls in alliance with Trinamool BNP."

After the meeting, the nomination papers of the thePragatishil Democratic Forum were officially collected from Trinamool BNP. In the first phase, they collected 9 nomination papers.
