President to visit Pabna on four-day official trip

President Mohammed Shahabuddin is scheduled to visit his home district Pabna on a four-day official trip.

This will be his first official visit since the fall of the Awami League government on 5 August 2024, sources at Bangabhaban said.

According to a notice signed by the president's Protocol Officer Abul Kalam Md Lutfor Rahman on October 29, the President will travel to Pabna by helicopter from BAF Base Bashar in the capital's Tejagaon on November 6.

Upon arrival, he will be given a guard of honour at the Pabna Circuit House, where he will stay overnight.

The next day, on 7 November, President Shahabuddin will visit the graves of his parents in Arifpur and later meet with his relatives. The following day, on 8 November, he will again meet close family members at the Circuit House and stay there overnight.

On the final day of the visit, 9 November, the president will receive a guard of honour at the Circuit House before departing for Dhaka by helicopter.

The notice instructed the relevant authorities to ensure necessary security measures as per regulations, and directed the deputy commissioner of Pabna to coordinate administrative arrangements and provide required transportation facilities.
