Primary assistant teacher exam results out, 69,265 advance to viva

Results of the written exam for the 2025 recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools have been published, with 69,265 candidates qualifying for the oral test.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through a notice signed by Abu Nur Md Shamsuzzaman, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE).

The exam was held on January 9 in 61 districts, excluding the three hill districts, against 14,385 vacant posts. More than 1.08 million candidates took part.

Qualified candidates can check results on the websites of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and the Directorate of Primary Education.

The Directorate of Primary Education said no evidence of question leaks was found, though 207 candidates were detained for attempting malpractice using electronic devices.

Most of the incidents were reported from Gaibandha (53), Naogaon (18), Dinajpur (18), Kurigram (16), and Rangpur (2).

While a section of candidates protested, demanding the cancellation of the exam over allegations of irregularities, the Directorate maintained that legal action has been taken against those involved in malpractice and ruled out the possibility of annulling the examination.
