Prime Minister to launch 'Krishak Card' programme on April 14

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the pre-pilot programme for distributing 'Krishak Cards' on April 14. The inaugural ceremony will be held at the Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail Sadar at 10:00 am on that day.

In a letter on Saturday, August 11, the Ministry of Information confirmed that the 'Krishak Card' programme will be launched simultaneously in 11 upazilas across the country as part of this initiative.

The upazilas are Tangail Sadar, Panchagarh Sadar, Boda in Panchagarh, Shibganj in Bogura, Shailkupa in Jhenaidah, Nesarabad in Pirojpur, Teknaf in Cox's Bazar, Adarsha Sadar in Cumilla, Islampur in Jamalpur, Goalanda in Rajbari, and Juri in Moulvibazar.

The 'Krishak Card' will be distributed to ensure integrated services for farmers. Under this initiative, farmers will receive ten types of benefits, including Tk 2,500 per year, loans, and subsidised seeds and fertilisers.
