Principals of 226 madrasas with zero pass rate summoned by board

Principals of 226 madrasas where not a single student passed the 2026 Dakhil examinations have been directed to explain the reasons behind the academic debacle. The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board issued a notification regarding the matter on Tuesday. According to the notice, the heads of these institutions must appear in person at the office of Controller of Examinations Professor Md. Faruk Ahmed with a written statement.

The board has established a regional schedule for the appearances of the madrasah principals. Principals from the Dhaka and Mymensingh regions are scheduled for August 16, the Rajshahi region for August 17, and the Rangpur region for August 18. Additionally, heads from the Chattogram and Sylhet regions have been instructed to appear on August 19, the Khulna and Cumilla regions on August 20, and the Barishal region on August 23.
